Signs
Annush was talking about signs, and I'm on the look out for some about now. I have an offer on the table from the other company, and one of the big factors is the commute, so what happens last night and this morning? the commute was pure hell, all the usual suspects, signal light malfunctions, construction, wrecks, rain, the full Monty. Are these signs? Hard to say, but once I had a fender bender on the way to an interview, and it ended up being the worst job I ever had, was it a sign ignored?
Pros:
growing company
close to home
nice people (so it seems)
They've shown some good faith by raising their initial offer in response to my counter
Saving $1.50 per day in tolls, and about 3.50-4.00 per day in gas
Saving about an hour a day on the commute
A bit more money to start, but with much more potential than here.
Cons:
I have a lot of friends here
I know this job inside and out
The grass is not always greener
Being the new guys sucks
I doubt I will sit on the internet all day
Looks like the real argument is on the pro side.
I must stop renting depressing documentaries from Netflix. At some point learning any more detail about things like Vietnam is overkill, and gets depressing.

Of course I want a change, so my view is slanted. I have noticed quality of life in Dallas is significantly impacted by commute time. New job = shorter commute, more money. I say take the leap of faith.
I'm sure you're right
I've only worked two places in the last 15 years. I stayed at job #1 until it became hell and I've been at job #2 for twice as long simply because it's comfortable. So what do I know?
But I think your gut is telling you want to do. Follow your gut.
